The Effects of Smoking

Smoking is the largest reason of avoidable deaths, accounting for over 80,000 deaths every year. The effects of smoking play a big role in our healthy life. The effects of any drug are different from person to person. How tobacco influences a person depends on several points such as their size, body weight and wellness. In addition, the effects of tobacco rely on the amount used.
Nicotine is a specific drug in tobacco smoke that leads to smokers to continue to smoke. Often smokers need some dose of nicotine each day, because only in this case they feel normal. Smoking is a process which increases your blood pressure and heart rate. In this case your heart work harder than normal. Also increasing the risk of conditions such as heart attack, coronary heart disease, stroke, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, etc. There are different effects of smoking, namely:

  • shortness of breath
  • different types of cancer
  • coughing
  • yellow teeth and bad breath
  • eye cataracts
  • chronic bronchitis
  • hypertension
  • emphysema
  • early menopause and many other diseases.
Also there is such term as passive smoking. It means when a person is not smoking breathes in the smoke from another persons who are smoking. It is also has a bad influence on their organism. Especially it is a harmful to babies and small kids. In modern world the most popular problem is the smoking among the teens. They think it is so cool to smoke a cigarette. 

Often they do not think how it influences on their young body. Smoking may cause the bones to become weak and breakable. Teen smokers are more probably to have anxiety attacks and depression. Tobacco has an effect on youth activities and sports effectiveness. It leads to shortness of breath. People who smoke run slower and can not run as far as nonsmokers. That is why if you want to live the full life, you must forget about cigarettes. If a person start to smoke, it is a very difficult to stop using it. This person must have a good willpower.
